Quest Takers

I created Quest Takers as a way to play a casual D&D-like game asynchronously with my daughter. I thought it was kind of neat, so I've been working on codifying the rules. It's taken a while but I finally feel like it's at a point I feel comfortable sharing it.

What is this game?

Quest Takers is a simple role-playing game for 2 or more players. One player takes the role of game master and posts quest notices to a board on behalf of NPCs. The other players are adventurer characters called Quest Takers. They take quests posted by the GM and write narrative reports of how their characters complete the quest using skills and equipment granted by their heritage and class.

Through posting quest notices, reports, and other messages to a corkboard, or other shared space, the GM and Quest Takers work together to build a world and tell a story.
